2005 saw BOO on the first Classic & Sports Car Reader Run from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust at Browns Lane (above) to Gaydon, via Coventry, on the stand at Bromley Pageant and lining up with Big Brother OKK for the Faversham Hop Festival. Goodwood, Silverstone, C&SC Action Day at Castle Combe, JDC National Day, the Mk1 50th Anniversary and E-type Day at Prescott – not to mention Germany – it's been all go.

In 2005 Classic & Sports Car magazine organised its first-ever Reader Run. Editor James Elliott flagged the participants off from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, Browns Lane, on a cross-country route that took us to Motor Heritage museum at Gaydon, via Coventry Motor Museum. Nearly 100 cars, including a number of E-types and XKs, took part in what turned out to be a hugely successful and enjoyable day's driving.
